41 percent of small growers turn a profit each year, but the majority fail to break even. For this reason, 64 percent of small growers also work another job.
IMGA Florida’s vision is to be the most responsive, sustainable and viable microgreens organization by providing micro-opportunities for members to influence macro-change in agriculture and their communities.
Growing microgreens in Florida
We strive to ensure food-secure communities by developing and strengthening the local food system. As a community of growers and consumers, we support:
Emphasizing quality in all we endeavor to do.
Acting honestly, truthfully and with integrity in all our transactions and dealings.
Appropriately handling actual or apparent conflicts of interest in our relationships.
Respecting the diversity of life to maintain a sustainable human and physical environment.
Treating our members and partners with respect, fairness and good faith by providing conditions that safeguard their rights and welfare.
Being a good corporate citizen and complying with both the spirit and the letter of the law.
Acting responsibly toward the communities in which we work and for the benefit of the communities that we serve
Being responsible, transparent and accountable for all of our actions
